Meet Lauren

Hey there, I'm Lauren, and I'm really glad you found your way here. I'm a birth doula, wife to an amazing husband, and mom to a busy little girl. My path to birth work started early; I've always loved caring for babies and helping new moms feel supported. What truly sparked this passion was my own journey into motherhood. I was surrounded by incredible support, and it made all the difference. Now, I feel so drawn to offer the same steady, caring presence to other families during such a powerful season of life. With every birth I attend, my passion for this work only grows. It's an honor every time to be invited into such an intimate space and walk alongside families as they meet their babies.

My Approach

My style as a doula is very down-to-earth. I'm calm, observant, and really tuned in to what each moment calls for. I have a strong ability to read the room, whether that means offering hands-on support like hip squeezes and counter pressure, or stepping back and giving space so you and your partner can be fully present together. I'm there for both of you, not just the birthing person, and I believe support should feel steady, respectful, and centered on your experience, not mine. My goal is to help you feel safe, seen, and fully supported in whatever way that looks like for you.

Training and Certifications

When it comes to birth, I believe physical support can make a big difference. I'm always learning new ways to bring comfort and ease to the families I work with, and I love adding fresh tools to my doula toolkit. To deepen my ability to support clients in this way, I have completed or am working on completing training in:

  • Certified birth doula training through Earthwise Doula

  • Spinning Babies Techniques

(for comfort, fetal positioning, and labor progress)

  • Rebozo Use for Birth

(gentle support tool for movement and relief)

  • Comfort Measures Workshops

(practical tools for all stages of labor)

  • Lactation Support Training

  • CPR certified for infants, children, and adults

Why two doulas instead of one?

The Doula Duo

Having an additional doula provides an extra layer of support and backup, especially during prolonged or unpredictable labor. With two doulas, one can always be present to provide support, ensuring a constant presence throughout the labor, and both may bring different skill sets and experiences to the table. You will be able to meet and get to know both doulas in prenatal visits, and whoever is on call when you go into labor will attend your birth. If your labor ends up being prolonged or the doula feels the need for more support, both doulas may attend to provide the best care possible.
